Radiesse

Radiesse is one of the most popular wrinkle fillers available today, with well over one million syringes administered worldwide since 2002. Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite – a safe, biocompatible, and durable substance that consists of microspheres suspended in water-based gel.

We use Radiesse to treat the following conditions:

  • Nasolabial folds – from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth
  • Marionette lines – extending down from each side of the mouth
  • Facial fat loss – loss of volume due to aging or another condition

Surgeons have also used Radiesse for various off-label uses such as nasal augmentation, cheek augmentation, and correction of depressed scars.

How is Radiesse Treatment Performed?

During treatment, Dr. Will uses a fine needle to inject Radiesse into the subdermal plane of specific facial areas. A topical anesthetic or ice pack may be used to minimize pain. After injection, the site is gently massaged. Results are immediate and last approximately 10-14 months. There is no downtime necessary, so you can get right back to your normal routine. Although Radiesse is well tolerated by most patients, some may experience minor side effects like redness, swelling, itching, and bruising.
